The Research And Implementation Of Identification And Calibration Equipment For Loop Sensor Velocity Measurement

There are many speed-measuring methods. The loop sensor velocity measurement is the most mature technology. In practical application of the electronic-police, the loop sensor velocity measurement is the best choice, but its calibration work has remained relatively stagnant. This paper records a new method of calibrating test mode. The following several aspect work has been completed in this paper.We design and make a signal simulator based on this way. This device can simulate the signal that the vehicle across the detector. It is controlled by the host computer through the serial communication. The host management software is developed by VB language, with a data query and analysis functions. This paper research velocity measurement and calibration theory for the loop sensor, then analyses several device methods and puts forward a specific calibration method. Further more, it introduces the loop sensor Calibration instrument hardware. It also records the development of the design process using C language. This device receives instructions and realizes calibration through the RS232 serial communication. The host management software is developed by VB with Access Database, which can store the calibration parameters and the measured data. Moreover, this device achieves Data Query based on SQL language, analyzes data and calculates errors. Finally, it also has the function of generating calibration reports automatically in Word format. The paper completed all the hardware and software design of calibration equipment.With this identification and calibration equipment which is used in loop sensor velocity measurement, we have finished experiment for several sets of velocity measurement in Dongying. The results show that the calibration equipment can calibrate all the model loop sensor velocity measurement and has a very good sense to solve the calibration problems of loop sensor velocity measurement.
