This paper is based on intelligent online teaching platform about embedded system of the office of the Liaoning provincial information industry. Systems include lots of audio and video information that are distributional and heterogeneous. These multi-level networking resources form a tremendous resource library. Distance education system is the core of education resources management. To some extent,the Internet provides a foundation for the effective use of educational resources. Large-on-demand business of massive Streaming Media Software requires a lot of network bandwidth and server resources. In order to not increase external system resources and maximize the utilization of system resources,effective resource scheduling strategy is to be adopted.Grid is built on a next-generation Internet infrastructure. After following the Internet and WWW(World Wide Web),it is considered as the third generation network revolution. Computing resources,data resources and storage resources on internet can be effective polymerization and widely shared by Grid. With grid technology development and growing maturity,it has become a trend that the grid is used in distance education. Traditional video Resource Scheduling Algorithm shortcomings are as follows: Low bandwidth utilization,long response time,poor scalability,etc. In order to solve the above problems,this paper is to study and implement a Video Dispatch System on Grid Platform. First,it expounds on the basic concept of grid,Architecture,Implementation,Technical Support and gives a brief description of the grid with the other technical differences. Then it details on several resource storage strategies and video scheduling algorithms. Based on external and internal visits tendentious of documents and streaming media proxy caching technology,this paper proposes an improved scheduling algorithm and cache replacement strategy. Finally,I implement a VOD system based on Globus Toolkit.
