With the development of Internet technology, inforamtion system management has been implemented in more and more of enterprises of different business fields, thus increasing the number of relatively independent information service and management systems. In order to eliminate"information islands", data exchange between databases of different information system has been carried out more frequently. At present, a lot of heterogeneous data exchange technologies have been presented to solve the problem of data integration and exchange within one enterprise effectively. However, because of the difference between the architecture of each component as well as the discrepancy of the standard to encapsulate data, it becomes more different to integrate various components. While existing heterogeneous data exchange technologies have some shortcomings in the realization of transparent access to enterprise data in different platforms through the firewall, dynamic deployment of datasouce and so on, the emergence of Web Service could well solve corresponding problems.Because of data sharing and synchronization among distributed heterogeneous databases have the problems of scalability, reliability, low performance of poor synchronization and difficult to achieve. This paper researched on the methods of data transformation, the ways to accomplish change data capture, data synchronization strategies and related technologies of web services. A method combining triggers with log tables for change data capture was put forward based on the researches above, and a incremental synchronization mechanism based on Web Service was designed for distributed heterogeneous databases. The establishment of a central database, it took use of the event-driven data transportation mechanism to synchronize the incremental data captured by each distributed databases and the central database. This paper then implemented a prototype system of incremental data synchronization for distributed heterogeneous database and finally tesed it using an example to verify the feasibility and rationality of the design.This paper has accomplished the following tasks:①It analyzed the data sharing and synchronization strategy of distributed heterogeneous database, researched on related technologies for interconnection of distributed heterogeneous database and compared them with Web Services.②It researched heterogeneous data transformation methods based on XML and Web Service and synchronization strategy of Web Service and analyzed various existing methods for change data capture and proposed a change data capture method based on triggers and log tables.③It designed incremental synchronization systems for distributed heterogeneous databases and established a central database, which synchronize the incremental data captured by each distributed databases and the central database through synchronization strategy, based on Web Service.④It designed the major modules of incremental data synchronization system of distributed heterogeneous database, and implemented a prototype system including the registration of heterogeneous databases, data transformation, change data capture, incremental synchronization of updated data, event-driven data transmission and transaction processing.⑤It made an overral tesing on data synchronization performance and introduced examples to validate the feasibility and rationality of the design.
