Spiral CT represents the latest modern computed tomography technology,and the key of implementing spiral scan is using slip-ring techonology.Slip ring with high-speed is used to replace cables which supply power and transmit data to the sports rack. Its transmission of power and data is achieved by slip-ring rather than cable. Slip-ring technology solves problems of cable connection and continous rotation of scanning system, which greatly improves the scanning speed. However, using slip-ring as data transmission channel will make the design of slip ring complex and the cost of realization high, moreover it will also limit the speed and precision of the data transmission. In response to these questions, this article discusses the feasibility of applying the wireless data transmission technology to data transmission of spiral CT.First of all, the thesis introduced the working principle of spiral CT and characteristics of several data transmission methods, and choose the wireless data transmission method as studying object.Then analysised several wireless transmission technologys which are popular currently , combined with spiral CT characteristics of the transmission system,we confirmed the wireless technology used in the system design—UWB and 802.11n; Finally, we designed the wireless transmission system based on UWB and 802.11n technology, and validated its feasibility。In the system design, We use UWB hub provided by the market as wireless module to reduce the difficulty and developing time. FPGA is used as system controller to implement parallel data acquisition of detection system; Two pieces of SDRAM are used for ping-pong operation to achieve effective storage of mass data. The test result is that the fastest transmission speed is 16.8Mbit / s within 3 meters.802.11n wireless route provided by the market is used as wireless module in the system design.FPGA is used to collect detecting data rapidly and efficiently; ARM is used as master controller to transmit collected data rapidly and reliably. Test results show that the fastest transmission speed of the system is 45Mbps within 30 meters, and the system has the characters of reliable transmission, anti-interference ability.As the test results of wireless transmission system show, UWB technology is not yet ripe, and the wireless transmission speed of UWB hub Product is far smaller than UWB theoretical value, the system can not meet the needs of multi-slice spiral CT. However the application of 802.11n technology is more mature, it can be used for single-layer spiral CT transmission systems to meet the requirements of high data transmission speed, high precision, and strong anti-interference ability.
