In the locomotive manufacturing process, locomotive weighing must be controled in the framework of GB for the quality of locomotive operation. This paper studies the locomotive weighing control systems based on MSP430F449 microcontroller to measure and control the locomotive weight,so the production quality is guaranteed and the production efficiency is improved.Firstly, the paper looks back on the development process and status quo of the locomotive weighing control system, proposes the design program on the locomotive weighing control system, choses the implementation parts according to the design program, establishes the multi-variable control system mathematical model,and researches the control algorithm of the control system.Secondly, the hardware system of the controller are expounded ,which includes one primary module and other peripheral modules,such as power management, crystal, serial communication, data collecting, output electrocircuit,and so on.The primary module is used because of its low power dissipation,steady system,abundant resources,swiftness and convenience.The data collecting module is responsible for gathering datas of weigh and displacement,and send them to the primary module for disposing and analyzing. The output of displacement sizing is implemented by the output module.messages between PC and MCU are transferred by the serial communication.Finally, the software system of the controller are introduced, which includes PC's man-machine conversation programme and MCU programme. The programmes in PC are compiled with VC++6.0 ,which achieves man-machine conversation and transforms multi-variable system into single- variable system .The program in MCU is described with C in IAR Embedded Workbench to accomplish data collecting, serial communication, output control arithmetic,and so on.
