For quite a long time, research on wireless location technology has been developed based on two key questions: One is how to acquire signal characteristic measured values from complicated wireless channel environment as accurate as possible, the other is designing dependable and available location schemes, methods and high-precision algorithms.In this thesis, main research is focused on hybrid location and tracking techniques based on single base station in cellular networks. Meanwhile, for the improvement of location accuracy and stability, the related issues, such as NLOS error mitigation, data fusion, extend Kalman filtering, measuring AOA and AOD by MIMO array antennas, have been investigated. In addition, some ideas and improved methods for traditional location schemes are proposed.Primary contents of the thesis are as follows:1,TOA/AOA hybrid location technology is studied, and how to acquire measured AOA and AOD is discussed, and then NLOS errors are mitigated by means of Wylie and Kalman filtering. Meanwhile, a novel data fusion model is studied, in which RSS parameter is brought to enhance redundancy and location precision, then the conclusion is testified by simulation experiment. In the end, a single base location method utilizing TOA, AOA and variance ratio of AOA is studied in cellular environment and EKF is used to track target and estimate velocity, finally the performance of Kalman filter in three conditions is compared by computer simulation.2,In CDMA network, TDOA/AOA location algorithm is applied on single base station location. Single equipment loading GPS and array antenna is adopted to carry out passive positioning, a new TDOA/AOA mathematical model is constructed and EKF algorithm is derived at last.3,A novel single base station algorithm is studied, which makes full use of multipath parameters of TOA, AOA and AOD gotten from MIMO reversible channel estimation means appeared these years to implement TDOA/AOA/AOD hybrid location. Then the corresponding EKF algorithm is derived and these two methods are compared by computer simulation at last.
