The technology of electromagnetic propulsion is a leap in the fields of the propulsion technology in recent years. It has opened up a new avenue to meet the special requirements of propulsion, such as ultra high speed and big mass. The electromagnetic launch is that when the electromagnetic force works, the electromagnetic energy is transformed into kinetic energy which is used to launch objects.In this paper,a synchronous trigger of the device is designed and The precision of trigger decides the efficiency of the driving device,so the precision of trigger is one of the most important factors to improve the device'efficiency. In this paper,the theory of automatic trigger system is described detailedly,and finally, designed the configuration of the whole system,and optimized by the pipline method.FPGA has a mass of the logic resources and it can work by a high speed. Using a variety of Optimization method to optimize the structure of adder, multiplier and divider used in the design.There is also a design of automatic trigger in this dissertation that irrelative with the factor above.It can measure the velocity and adjust the trigger automaticly.And it can also measure the speed of the object.The function of delay and measurement of velocity have been verified to make sure the system is feasible.Both theoretical analysis and experimental study show that the trigger of the electromagnetic propulsion designed in this paper are reasonable and have laid a foundation for further research.
