The 21st century is an era of information. As the direct outcome of information revolution, Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) has brought in significant influence on the economic activities styles of common people. E-Commerce, with its advantages of high efficiency and low cost, has become new business mode and conception step by step. It will be a main form of economic and commercial activities in the future society.Because E-Commerce is based on the open Internet platform, any transaction message of electronic commerce transmitted through Internet would be probably intercepted. So it is greatly required to solve the security problem for developing electronic commerce. E-Commerce security protocol usually adopts SSL and SET protocol. SSL protocol provided a safe routeway between two machines. SET is an electronic payment system protocol based on credit cards which was proposed by the two great credit card organizations Visa and MasterCard to be used on Internet.The E-Commerce system should offer convenient and efficient transaction mode besides safety transaction. Customers would like to see simple interface and get goods which they want when they are shopping on the Internet. How to actively provide the goods information for customer and predict user's demand? How to change the manner of push to pull when customer browse the webs full of information. It is a very important issue to offer efficiency and humanity service.This paper presents the three-layers security architecture of E-Commerce platform and discusses the main safety technologies for each layer. Also we analyzed the basic transaction process of SSL and SET protocol, pointed out some deficiencies in SET protocol and offered an improved method called M-SET. Then, we have proposed an active prediction arithmetic for the user demand, In this arithmetic, we can predicate the user demand dynamically according to the value of reliability and favor. Also we have analyzed the basic process and character of the model. Finally, we have designed an on-line purchasing bookstore as an instance of E-Commerce system. In this system, we has implemented the main safety technologies in MVC model and proposed an active prediction arithmetic for the user demand.
