Research And Implementation Of Software Intelligent Deployment Based On Standardized Description

Information technology is improving the business efficiency as well as burdening companies with system management. System Management is quite difficult for companies, especially when the used software and hardware are provided by a wide range of suppliers and interact in different ways.Due to plenty of tasks for software installation and management, software deployment plays a very important role in the system management of a company. As the expansion of a company, a deployment often needs to cover the differences of time, geography and platform. Current existing software deployment tools cannot meet these new requirements. Therefore, it is a top priority to study the intelligent and unified deployment system to cope with the complex deployment environment and frequently changed requirement.There are two problems in the exiting software deployment systems: first, they cannot effectively detect the conflicts in the software deployment process, and the conflict cannot be solved automatically; second, the software deployment process is not in security protection. To deal with these problems, we carried out an in-depth study in the following three aspects: the standardized description of the deployed software and the deployment target, conflict detection and automatic adjustment, and the solution of security.To handle the problem that the conflicts in the software deployment process cannot be effectively detected and automatically resolved, this dissertation proposes a software intelligent deployment method based on the standardized description. This method can detect the conflicts in a software deployment process and automatically adjust the process, and finally generate a conflict-free software installation sequence to ensure the correctness of the deployment.For the security requirement of the software intelligent deployment, we designed and analyzed a solution based on a WS-Security Layer. Security can be transparently added by using the WS-Security Layer, which can be conveniently and seamlessly integrated into the software intelligent deployment system.We designed and implemented a software intelligent deployment system based on the standardized description. It is easy, safe and reliable to deploy software by using the system, which is widely adopted in a military department.
