Video monitoring has great potential applications in the area of financial services, e-commerce, government departments, public management, information security, artificial intelligence and so on. Outdoor ATM, when the weather is fine or sunny outside, the quality of video images is better; and when it is cloudy or in the evening, because of insufficient light, the quality of video images tend to be affected.Aiming at the drawback of ATM monitoring system which is susceptible to light, this paper mainly concentrated on the research of video image processing techniques for ATM monitoring system.In this article, there are three innovations: To reduce Gaussian noise of video images, I designed an improved method based on Motion Vector which made full use of the similarities of video images in the timeline and the thinking of Motion Vector.Campared with the traditional method , it is more accurate, has a higher signal to noise ratio for the easily following work.To reduce the Salt and Pepper noise, I designed a method based on the compound median filtering. We can denoise thoroughly with median filtering, and can maintain image details with morphological denoising.If we combine median filtering with morphological filtering, image can be smooth and clear, and processing can be efficient at the same time.The inhibition of noise, compared with the traditional method by experiment and comparison, I made an improved adaptive algorithm for video image enhancement to solve the problem of light. The method can enhance the contrast of the video image while retaining more details, and can enhance the quality of the image, whether underexposure or overexposure, it is an adaptive light compensation algorithm.During the course of noise suppression and image enhancement, I only deal with illumination to ensure the efficiency of the algorithm. Design for processing system of video image related to ATM monitoring is a transformation and innovation of existing technology. It can not be affected easily by light and can improve the quality of video without additional hardware costs.The obvious economic benefits will be won by Enterprises. It is very practical and worth to be popularized.
