Design And Development Of The Simulation Training System Of Boiler Based On Client/Server Network

Thermal power is the primary energy source for the industrial production. The reliability and quality of heat supplying have effect on the economic benefit and security of the industrial production. Boiler system is the important part of the thermal power system. The technical level of operators also has effect on the security and reliable operation of the system. So a training system is required to improve the technical level of operators. Therefore,this paper develops the simulation training system of boiler with aim to set up simulative operational response system of boiler based on the industrial control module,which could improve the technical level of operators for the security and reliable operation of boiler system.Model boilers and simulation system are adopted to simulate the real boilers. Firstly,the internal control elements such as valve and switch and display parts such as pressure gauge and water gauge of real boilers are modified to be capable of communicating with computers and transmitting emulational signals with each other. The software of the training system, which is integrated with the sunway(?) configuration and Client/Server network,is developed with object-oriented programming technology, data-acquisition and simulation technology, data-base technology and multimedia technology.This paper introduces the design process and development of the simulation training system of boiler.The training system is developed by modularization,and consisted with training demostrations,training,examination and database.The main functions of the system is listed as follows:demostrations of boiler's operation.The students can learn the operation process of boilersystem with the demostrations.training.The students can choose single question or simulation examination in this part.Andmulti-training is allowed to increase training efficiency.examination.The question-select programme and evaluation programme is offered in theprocess of examination.This part can record the operating instance of the trainees in the examination timely,and offer the watching interface to the trainers.database.Standardization coding design for the control elements of the model boilers isadopted in the database.The design process was focused on the openness and friend-interface.And the multiformity of information query,the extension of the training questions and the connection between the database and the software have been completed already.The system has been applied in the practical training already.It has proved that the technique level of operators could be improved by this training system.The trainees can be helped to discover and dispose malfunction to reduce the happeness of dangerous instance by this system.And the training quality and efficiency can be improved by this system too.This simulation training system for boilers is important in avoiding accidents of boilers.The national wealth and human lives can be saved by this training system.
