Research And Development On The Vehicle's Side Anti-collision Warning System Based On CAN-Bus

In recent years, the safety situation of our state's road traffic is also serious. If the driver be warned before the accident happened, it will reduce and avoid occurrence of the accidents, and the safety of people and wealth will also be guarded. The vehicle's side anti-collision warning system is the vehicle's equipment which based on improving the active safety of the vehicle and warning the driver before the side collisions.On the basis of analyzing the running condition of the vehicle and the practice driving environment, this paper has established the vehicle running side safety model and designed the vehicle side anti-collision warning system. It includes ultrasonic ranging part, speed measure by GPS and showing part, main controlling part, sound and light warning part etc. It has been designed in both software and hardware. The system has used the popular vehicle communication manner-CAN Bus, which will improve the reliability and universality of the system. In the design course, the paper has improved the anti-jamming ability in both software and hardware according to the request of Electro Magnetic Compatibility, which also improve the system's capability.The precision of the radar ranging system has been validated by the static test. At the same time, the capability and reliability of the system have also been validated by the simulate test. The correctness and real time response at the various speeds have been validated by the practical vehicle test. The results of the tests indicate that the system can warnings the driver when the distance between vehicle and barrier is less than the minimum safety distance, and the error and failing warning haven't occurred. It could be used as a vehicle's equipment, and will improve the active safety effectively.
