Aiming at the restricting the line of sight of the driver in fog weather condition,this dissertation designed a fog weather image clearness system on vehicle.In this system,the processor processed the fog weather image which the camera collected in real time,and then passed the clear image to the monitor on vehicle to display.This system can help the driver to drive the car and reduce the possibility of the traffic accident in fog weather.This system included three parts:the image collection part,the image processing part and the clear image displaying part.In the image collection part,the analog camera is used to collect the fog weather.It output analog video signal with NTSC or PAL format.In the image processing part,TMS320DM642 is used as the processor in the image processing.At first,the analog video signal which has been collected by camera was transformed from analog signal to digital signal through the Philips' decoding chip SAA7115.This digital video signal could be processed by DM642.DM642 processed the digital video signal with the image enhancing method to clear the fog weather image.The processed image was transferred to Philips' encoding chip SAA7105 to be transformed from digital signal to analog signal and then outputted.The decoding chip and the encoding chip were connected with DM642 through I~2 C bus.The collecting and displaying driver was written with DSP/BIOS driver development kit.Besides,the extend memory SDRAM and the flash chip which was used to store the program were connected with DM642 through EMIF interface.At last,in the image displaying part,the video signal which outputted from the image processing part,flowed to the monitor on the car to display the clear image in real time.The fog weather image clearness system on vehicle can make the faint image in fog weather clear and show a clear vision to the driver.It can ensure the driver's safety when driving in the fog weather condition.
