Workflow is a technology for the management of business processes which is developed since 90s in the 20th century. It brings huge profit for enterprise. For example, reduce the cost of management, strengthen the enterprise work efficiency, and advance enterprise's self-improving level. Many universities and research institutions have carried out research projects related to it, and many successful results have been achieved. With the application scope of workflow technology extends, it was discovered that the majority of current workflow model is based on the "static", and the process defined on horizontal direction, workflow management system can not dynamically modify its configuration,control , and data information on the basis of the run status of the workflow instance, thereby achieve vertical model. These deficiencies result in localization of workflow development, especially in the area of workflow optimization. For exemple, batch processing is an optimization work, which have been widely used in the operating systems, databases, the financial industry fields, and so forth. It will reduce the setup time or unit cost by combinational processing, thereby the efficiency will be improved and the resources will be saved.Existing workflow technology and workflow model has failed to provide support in this aspect, despite the case that batch processes are often occurred in business process in reality. For example, instance subset which have homology characteristics is often discovered in multi-instance of the same workflow model in practical applications. However, existing workflow model can not uniform regularization score and describe these instances, the transparent batch process executing optimization is not provided in workflow perform level. Thereby carrying out the batch process modeling and execution in workflow are becoming the urgent affairs. Workflow instance aspect modeling separate combination logic from process logic and accordingly advances the flexible of systems the same like that workflow separates process logics from operation logics. The specific goal is to achieve vertical modeling,transfer dataflow dynamically, and implement optimization operation of instance aspect by split, combination and weaving activity instance which have certain things in common.Aiming at solving above problem, this paper explores the problem of workflow activity cases' batch processing and develops a model and language to implement multiple workflow activity batch processing, and discusses the implement in initiative databases. The main innovate research contents of the paper includes: 1) propose an extended workflow model which based on aspect and a batch processing model for workflow activity instances based on partial vector space; 2) define a series of operation meta-language which is needed in batch processing; 3) describe the implementation of the batch process function and batch processing process and instance aspect operation rules in active databases; 4) depict dynamic interacting instance aspect with workflow enactment service deeply. The methods can solve the batch processing modeling and optimization problem effectively by application instances, and provide stability support for modern service business processes such as electronic commerce, manufacturing information, and supply chain etc.
