Radio frequency identification technology is a non-contact automatic identification technology, which communicates in two-way between radio frequency electronic tags and equipments to read and write using radio frequency, so as to complete the identifying of goal and data exchanging. The portable intelligent terminal using the way of radio frequency identification to collect data greatly increases the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, and is now widely used in industrial automation, business retail, logistics management, and many other fields. At present, Portable intelligent terminal is moving to the direction of convenient use, functional improvement, as well as low cost. Designing portable intelligent terminal using advanced embedded technology can improve the performance of the products to satisfy application requirement.The portable intelligent terminal system designed in this paper uses embedded technology to develop. In the platform of portable intelligent terminal system, this paper designs the hardware platform using the S3C2410 processor in ARM9 architecture, and builds the embedded operate system which takes open-source Linux kernel as the core. The building process comprises the replant of U-BOOT, the cut and replant of Linux 2.6.15 kernel, the implementation of interrelated driver based on kernel of Linux 2.6.15, and the design of embedded file system. This paper selects Linux2.6.15 kernel for replanting and cutting, gives the implement process of touch-screen driver and Ethernet port driver based on Linux2.6.15 kernel, and adopts the embedded file system design which uses RAMDISK root file system and JFFS2 auxiliary file system.Aiming at the application fields of radio frequency identification data collection, this paper designs the portable intelligent terminal system. The RFID circuits to read and write comprise special chip U2270B and its peripheral circuits, and can achieve reading low-frequency radio frequency electronic tags with typical operating frequency of 125kHz. The RFID circuit to read and write is designed a circuit module which brings a CPU itself and can operate independently to facilitate function expansion that high-frequency radio frequency electronic tags be read by the system.The portable intelligent terminal system designed in this paper achieves graphical user interface, data collection and storage, Ethernet port and USB communication, and gives the design and implementation method of each function.
