Temperature control is widely used in modern industry and daily life. Higher performance of temperature control is required with the development of industry. The change of temperature in industry is complicated. It is affected by many unknown factors. Higher requirements are needed because of nonlinearity, large-inertia, Large-lag and disturbance factors which are the main features of temperature objects in industry.Modern control science develops quickly with the improvement of science and technology. Because of its advantage over traditional control technology, modern control technology has wide application in industry. This paper is based on temperature control of plastic extruder of B&R and one type of improved implicit Generalized Predictive Control method. A lot of theoretical research, simulations and experiments are based on B&R temperature control model. One type of improved implicit Generalized Predictive Control has a good performance. The main works are as follows:(1) Study the characteristics of temperature object. Analyze the present situation of temperature.(2) Because it is difficult to get the accurate coefficients of control object step response, one type of improved implicit Generalized Predictive Control which is introduced on Wang Wei's are researched. This method is programmed. Comparison based on Automation Studio Simulation between one type of improved implicit GPC and implicit GPC shows that improved implicit GPC is suitable for temperature control.(3) Do experiments on the temperature control model made up of PCC. The results show that improved implicit GPC performance good in stability, robustness and real-time tracing.
