With the economic development and the power electronics technology improved, power electronic device has been widely used. Diode and phase control inverter has become the most used devices of common power grid interface. These inverters generate lots of harmonics, impact other electrical equipments and cause security risks of power grid. The problem urgent needs to resolve.Active power filter (APF) is an effective harmonic compensation device. It overcomes the shortcoming of LC filter and has many advantage, it is the further direction of harmonic control. The paper main study the structure and principle of shut APF, and have a research on the feasibility of Photovoltaic (PV) gird connection and shunt APF and finally give the control strategy.Firstly, introduce the concept of harmonic and the harmonic hazards, analysis the necessity of harmonic compensate, introduce the LC filter technology and its disadvantage. Introduce the active power filter, describe the structure, principle and main research content. Study the main circuit of shunt APF, give a project design methods for APF output filter inductor. Introduce several harmonic detection methods, derivate the harmonic detection methods based on instantaneous reactive power theory. Design the second-order Butterworth digital low-pass filter.Then, introduce the gird connected PV system. Compare the PV grid connected inverter and shunt APF, and get the conclusion that the inverter with shunt APF and PV gird connected is feasible.Introduce the hardware and software design of system control system. Control chip is TMS320F2812, hardware including sampling and protect circuits, voltage phase-locked, PWM generation. Algorithm is implementation with C programming language.Finally, set up three phase shut APF model and study various parameters impact. Set up inverter model which has PV gird connected and APF functions, validate the proposed control strategy. Set up a experimental platform, and carry out some preliminary experiments.
