As the harmonics source equipment is used more widely and wildely,the harmonic pollution of power system is getting worse and worse ,which has arosed the society's high-level attention.As the past time's elements design of harmonics source equipment and SVC is depended on experience,so the conmpensate effect can't be the best.According to the power system's practical situation the GA is used to get the the best filtering effect and economical efficiency.Principle and parameter calculation of three-tuned filter with low loss are dexcribed in detail .The main work of this thesis is as follows:First,the causes,danger and elimination approaches for power harmonic distortion were discussed in this thesis.It gave details on various types of passive power filter,their filtering principles and their characteristics.Secondly, commonly used parameter—optimization design methods for passive power fi iter were elaborated respectively.Their merits and disadvantages were also generalized.Thirdly,the thesis introduced the concept of genetic optimization.The development,definition and characteristics of genetic algorithm were also presented.The ergodicity nature of Logistic map in genetic state was studied through mathematical deduction and the use of genetic algorithm.In optimization application was summarized.It takes the three-tuned filter with low loss PPF's original investment,the capacity of reactive power compensation and the harmonic distortion as three objectives. This paper proposes a multi-objective optimal strategy based on Genetic Algorithm(GA) to improve filter design performance.By means of threshold limitation and chromosome selection with different probabilities,the population can evolve to the best trade-off of the three objectives.A chaos operator is introduced to overcome the premature convergence.At last,A designing instantiation of the three-tuned filter with low loss passive power filteres in an certain smelting works in Jishou. The practice and simulation result shows the superiority and availavility of the strategy.
