The Design And Exploitation Of Internet Cafe Management System Based On ArcEngine

The modern society is a web and information society. As the carrier of web-based knowledge and entertainment information, the internet cafes have become very important places for communication. Internet cafe information management system is a system that combines figures and data by adapting the technology of geographic information system (GIS) into the internet cafe information management. It provides a brand new decision by visualizing the data.Firstly, this article reveals the process of developing the internet cafe management system. It describes the requirement analysis and the summary design. The author analyzed and designed this system based on the GIS software engineering methodologies. Secondly, ArcSDE and SQL Server were used to sort and store massive data. The systematic space database and property database were used as the basic condition to realize the function of GIS. Thirdly, the author used ArcGIS as the GIS platform; adopted visual programming language(C#) and ArcEngine; performed the GIS component development; and established the internet cafe information management system which is very steady, standardized, useful and maintainable. The system has carried out not only the GIS basic functions, such as data input and output, graphics operating and editing; but also the functions for internet cafe characters, such as inquiry, statistics and printing. In the end, the author tested the system functionalities and demonstrated some of them. The results show that the system has a nice interface; users can use this system easily and conveniently. It can enhance the effectiveness of working and managing; reduce managing cost; provide credible decision making support; and realize the share of the information resource.The followings are innovative factors of this system. It follows closely the direction of the software industry. By exploring the application of GIS and showing the advanced idea of combination of GIS and administrative management, it creates an information managing system for internet cafe; thus helping build the foundation for applying GIS in constructing the modern digital city.
