As network environment is gradually becoming public, open, complex and large-scale, more and more powerful scientific computation and collaborative application which require tremendous resources are emerging under this kind of new network environment. These applications are more and more complicated and constrained by lots of factors which are about temporal orders, spaces, resources, and so on. This thesis takes grid workflow as an example to study modeling methods of complicated process under complex network environment .The following several aspects of the research work mainly have been done.Firstly, model descriptions for grid workflow. The modeling method of grid workflows at the present stage was introduced and the characters which the grid workflow had, especially dynamic properties, distributive characteristics and cooperativeness were thoroughly analyzed in this thesis. In order to make up the drawbacks of modeling methods on grid workflows at this stage, the dynamic of grid resources was increased and a new model of grid workflow semantics restraint net SCN based on the 3DWFN was proposed in this thesis.Secondly, research on semantic restraint synthesis mechanism which is based on subnet. Because of the distributive characteristics of the grid workflows, model synthesis of each grid node is urgently needed. As semantic restraint synthesis mechanism has had the complex condition determination, contents of the reserch included expression and determination of the semantic synthesis conditions and activity retention after grid nodes' synthesis.Thirdly, studies on complex modeling methods of workflows. The methods thoroughly for massive and complex workflows which are used in the modeling process were analyzed, and a kind of method which used the idea of "synthesis but first division" in modeling was proposed in this thesis. A grid workflow instance—online shopping process is given to describe and complete the coordinative running flow under the whole grid environment.
