With the rapid development of the computer and network technology, computer security is increasingly more important. The intrusion detection is an essential component of the security architectures. Currently, research of Intrusion Detection System(IDS) has been made great progress. A number of products for different needs were developed. But in the face of rapid changed, updated network environments and various new attack methods, to some extent, the traditional constructing method of IDS seems lack of the validity, adaptability and extensibility.Mobile agent technology is a new method in the research of the complex, dynamic, distributed and intelligent problems, which is concerned about migration strategy, communication mechanism, security system, and so on. The migration strategy which is the mobile agent how to reach the destination and complete its task with the lowest cost is the base core topic of it. The performance of mobile agent and the completion of the task are affected by the migration strategy. In the IDS, the import of mobile agent can increase the speed of intrusion response, reduce network load, adapt environment dynamicly, execute its task autonomously and asynchronously, make the extension and maintenance of the system are easy, solve the problem about the interoperability of different IDS and instability in the quality of network services and so on.In this dissertation, we analyze and summarize the technologies of IDS and mobile agent firstly. The next according to the improved ant colony algorithm AntNet algorithm, in the existing migration strategy based on a migration strategy to improve the Mobile Agent. We improve the node of the itinerary graph and propose a new method to locate unknown node based on some constraint condition like the quality and price of the service and give the retrospect ability to the mobile agent to ensure ulteriorly the completion of its task. The strategy applies those methods in order to perceive effectively the changes of network environment and dynamically choose the best migration path based on these changes and constraint condition with the itinerary map, it can locate unknown host and trace back to redo task. The strategy also avoids migration failure caused by network disconnection and computers node crashing and service invalidation to complete the migration of the mobile agent successfully.
