By introducing the multi-hop technique, relaying cellular networks shorten the distance between the transmitter and receiver. As a consequence, the quality of the communication service is improved significantly and the technical requirements of the next generation mobile system can be satisfied perfectly. In comparison with the conventional cellular system, relaying cellular system has to assign some resource to relay nodes, so more factors have to be taken into account during the resource allocation, which makes the resource planning become more complicated. From the viewpoint of the system level, this dissertation investigates the performance of relaying cellular networks, especially focus on the resource allocation for those with two-hop fixed relay nodes. In accordance with the characteristic of the relaying cellular system, two new resource allocation schemes based on resource reuse are put forward.First, this dissertation introduces the infrastructure, key technology and main application scenarios of the relaying cellular system. Next, the importance of the resource allocation in relaying cellular networks will be discussed. Then two new resource allocation schemes based on resource reuse will be brought forward. Finally, a summarization is made at the end of this dissertation in which the future direction of the study is pointed out.
