Research And Realization Of Video Conferencing System Based Peer-To-Peer

Nowadays, with the fast development of broadband network, there exists many internet applications and video conferencing system is one of them. Video conferencing system is a communication system of transmission the moving pictures equence, audio and data of many participants via network, bandwidth needed by transmission of multimedia data is exceeding the throughput of network providing because of the Centralized Structure of the video conferencing system. Video frame will be dropped when the network experiences congestion. The performance of data transmission may therefore be afected seriously. How to improve the quality of service form Multimedia data on condition of bandwidth limit is the hotspot of research in multimedia application field recently. P2P technology, as a solution of lack of center services, has already been widely uesd today.This paper proposes a new P2P video conferencing system with optimized Chord and also provides a theory for the design and realization of system.This paper focuses on the following aspects:1. Introduce the concept and the current situation of the video conferencing system.2. Introduce the concept of the P2P technology and summarizes current situation from the point of information technology development.3. Analyze the main P2P topology frameworks, points out their advantages and disadvantages.4. Research Chord protocol and put forward an optimized protocol for the video conferencing system.5. design and realize the video conferencing system.
