Management of workflow is more and more emphasize as market copetition grows and business environment changes.In the multi-porcess and multi-instance workflow system, there are all kinds of constrains and resource conflict.So the work flow scheduling optimization focus on the research of allocating resources to better schedule multi-process and multi-instance tasks.this research is really significant to the resource allocation and improvement of productivity enterprises.Workflow technology is a core technology that assists enterprise business processes to realize modeling,simulation,analysis,optimization management.The workflow management technique separates the process logic from the applications,and achieves the purpose of process modeling,recompose and reuse.With the development of workflow,more and more researchers are concerned with the reliability and correctness of WfMS. The most important function of workflow management system is modeling. A good workflow model is the key and foundation for flexible, credible, usefuland mutually operable workflow management system.What the workflow system researches on is how to exactly express the operation process of the actual application, especially how to describe the workflow model formally. With the increasing of the workflow technology, workflow model needs to represent some characteristics such as concurrent, dynamic behaviors, and real-time events etc., which give great challenge to the traditional modeling methods such as UML, Petri Nets etc.Traditional modeling method has some defects, such as too complex, rigidity, Inflexibility, no time concept. Time information is an important attribute in workflow.Because of the dynamic characteristics of resources and activities in workflow, much time information is uncertain and can't be described precisely, at the same time, the model this paper describe is multi-porcess and multi-instance.So this author models workflow processes with Hierarchical Timed Colored Petri nets (HTCP-net) which is based on CPWF-net.Hierarchical Timed Colored Petri nets (HTCP-net), however, for its flexibility, great ability to represent these characters and easy simulation in CPN-Tools software, is widely used in this field.This paper has systematically studied on model validation and performance evaluation of workflow system based on HTCP-net, and choosing a typical workflow system—insurance claims system as an example. We do some reach on workflow verification and performance evaluation, in addition, this paper puts forward optimization means based on the results of evaluation; it can be seen from the performance analysis that the modeling technique and optimization methods are accurate and effective.
