In recent years, with the development of network technology and the conception of digital global platform, the technology of accessing to spatial data has been progress, so that spatial information tends to the trend of multi-source, multi-level and sea quantifiable. At the same time, the scope of application of spatial information expanding toward the direction of popular development and people's demand for spatial data are also growing. The digital global platform based on the G/S model become a new generation of digital global platform leader because of its advanced technology and good architecture, it provides a broad application space for Spatial Information Technology.G/S mode is the Geo-information Browser/Spatial information Server, in this paper, the author introduces this mode's basic theory and system architecture, compares the advantages and disadvantages, the similarities and differences of G/S, C/S and B/S models. On the basis of the above, the conception of digital global platform based on G/S mode is introduced and the key technology of digital global platform based on G/S mode are analyzed and summarized.Transmission as the current security concerns of all walks of life, it is particularly important in the field of information technology in space. In this paper, the author detailed introduces the theoretic and importance of data transmission security, describes the key points of network security, network security model and network security architecture. On the basis of the above, the methods and modes of data encryption are analyzed and the differences, advantages and disadvantages are compared. At the same time, the Java's security system architecture and key technologies are analyzed. In this paper, the main object of the research is to study the UStar browser based on the G/S model and analyses the data transfer system architecture and key technologies between the G and S, combined with the current mainstream solution for data transmission security, and explore the theoretical research and technology of G/S model. Based on the combination of contents of G/S model and data security, I study the Geo-information Browser's transmission system security architecture and solutions. At the same time, an application solution of data security behind of G/S mode is been brought out based on analyzes the characteristics, methods and modes of data transmission, on the basis of in-depth study of data security and Java Extensible Security Architecture. The end of this article is to integrate the application solution of data security with the application example of digital global platform based on G/S mode—UStar and make the analysis and summarizing. This section detailed introduces the architecture of technology, feasibility and characteristics of the application solution of data security in application of UStar. And it describes in detail and shows certain application of digital jiuzai based on KML/KMZ of Google Earth. Thus, it analyzes and prospects the future application of the G/S mode and data transmission safety based on G/S mode.
