The system described in the paper is a special system with the function of dynamically detection of railway freight train whose loading exceeds the standard height. because the distance between the dection teminal and central computer is far,for the work is done in the railway field with bad situdation, this paper proposed a remote communication technology based on PSTN to realized data transimition between both communication sides.This paper designs combing with the remote communication module and the detection end module of Over-high Train Detection System developed by Beijing GuAnXinTong Railway Signal Technology Company. The detection module is a remote interface interacting with field device. It takes PC computer as the main platform, with two main structures including data communication and database management , analyzed by UML, designed by VC++, which can realized the function of system setting , information transmission, data query, print and preview etc. The remote communication module is mainly to realize remote communication between detection module and detection unit. It based on ATmega128, with the function of modulation and demodulation, dial, ring detection and ring down by utilizing chip MSM7512B and periphery circuit. The whole design shows humanity design concept.The design can precisely detect the information of over-high train with detection unit of Over-high Train Detection System. It satisfies the technology requirement of the system and also has the traits of economical implement, maintaining flexibly, mature technology and high reliability. The system has great developing space and wide space of market which will make obvious social and economic benefit in the future.
