Research And Implementation On Common Gateway Based CGIP

Along with promoting and implementation of 3G, all kinds of new business applications based 3G will be on the increase. The problems that telecom and service providers need to be addressed urgently is that how to increase new application on the original platform and the system and to smoothly update from original system.The paper describes the Common Gateway platform that bases on the 3G environment, which provides a Common Gateway for Hunan Mobile Communication Corporation. In the foundation of intensive studying the CMPP3.0, we define the CGIP(Common Gateway Interface Protocol), which includes the foundation, business, monitoring and management interface constraints and it is the key of system. On System Architecture we take fully account of the system's highly scalable and loosely coupled property,so choice split-level design. Because the Common Gateway process a large of data and need a high real time capability, consider the performance of controling from the tow sides: on the one hand, base on a business granularity,to control data-flow for each node; on the other hand, base on a system granularity, implement Cache mechanism to ensure the processing speed and prevent congestion of the gateway nodes.The gateway is the bridge that business systems connects with business gateway. Different business systems commuicate with gateway nodes by the same protocol. Gateway nodes connect with different business systems through different adapters. Gateway nodes are the core of the gateway.It has some functions ,suc h as basic service,capacity support ,policy control ,data perseverance and so on. The main gateway nodes are the special kind of gateway nodes that the functions are responsible for initializing the components and the nodes. Adapter nodes are responsible for the capacity of adaptering protocol. Management platform provides management software for the administrators,and administrators can manage to increase , modify, config the basic gateway, and manage to query log and statistics.This paper describes the basis theory of the required Common Gateway,defines the core of protocol that gateway needed to achieve , completes function modules on the base of the design and introduces the core of components that are sloved.
