"Striking Time-critical Target"(STCT) is a new combat pattern, which plays an increasingly important role in modern warfare. STCT is a combat pattern based on the Time Windows, its success has an affinity for the time factor. The concept of the Time Windows is seldom covered by traditional researchs of operational effectiveness evaluation. By traditional methods, it is difficulty to have a systematic assessment of the operational effectiveness of STCT's architecture.The present dissertation gives a comprehensive study on the STCT weapons and equipment architecture, including related concepts, operational process and operational effectiveness simulation model and other issues. The important works are as follows.First of all, the basic concepts, characteristics, and combat process of Striking Time-critical Target, as well as the equipment components and description methods of STCT weapons and equipment architecture are examined. By DOD AF1.5 standardized methods, the systematic structures in the form of IDEF or UML describing products are established, and the High-Level Operational Concept Graphic, Operational Activity Model of the STCT are created as well.Secondly, the operational effectiveness index system of STCT weapons equipment architecture are selected according to the characteristics of STCT's mission. According to the"Time Windows"and"Kill Chain"characteristics of operational processes of STCT, the dissertation puts forward the operational processes simulation modeling technology method that based on Hierarchical Colored Generalized Stochastic Petri Nets(HCGSPN). The dissertation also makes a study on the standardized methods and criteria of the transfer from STCT architecture products into the HCGSPN model. And by the above methods and criteria, the dissertation has established the executable model of the STCT's architecture. The simulation strategies and main processes of model are given as well.Finally, based on a typical example of the STCT, the dissertation has established a HCGSPN model of the STCT's and made the operational effectiveness's simulation. By exploratory analysis, the dissertation analyzes the important factors that influencing the operational effectiveness of the STCT.
