Nowadays the bridge inspection work to become a time-consuming hard sledding work, because the viaduct, the continuous bridge, and the continual rigid frame bridge's widely use. So it need the bridge inspection widely,but the traditional bridge inspection is low efficiency and always blocks the traffic. Carries on the analysis using the image processing technology to the bridge structure picture, found out diseases on the bridge superstructure is a kind of real-time, lossless, the high accuracy, the low cost method. It already had carried on in industry for quality inspection. And already had the equipment basied on this method ,but the equipment always develop by foreigner,and the price was expensive. Moreover the result of bridge disease's multiplicity and uncertainty, the algorithm of deseas inspection still need a further research.Based on the reasons above, this article take a discuss of the method and the difficulties on diseases image gathering , image processing, disease demarcate and cracks measurement, based on the theory of Bridge Structure & Image Processing. Design a bridge disease inspection and crack measurement program ,to find out the disease and marked them differently, then measure the locality & the length and the width of the cracks.This software are composed of three parts: Bridge image gathering, Disease distinguish and Crack survey. Disease distinguish can distinguish the diseases and measure the location of each. Cracks survey contains two parts, one is image processing ,the other is crack measurement. Image processing include gray transforming, noise elimination, boundary smoothing, fissure filling and binaryzation transform,then proposed two different algorithms on the crack processing based on the different quality of the image. The sub-pixel technique of bary center operaters method's using in measure keep the precision and the accuracy of test result.This bridge disease distingish and cracks measure method which based on the Imagery Processing , is a no-damage, non-contact and high accuracy advanced inspection method. The result of in this reaserch is valueable in the field of bridge disease inspection.
