Design And Implementation Of Integrated Communication System Client

With the rapid development of network communication technology and Internet application growing in depth, Instant messaging technology is becoming a most important application after Telephone and Email. Instant messaging system integrates instant messaging, audio and video communication, file transfer and other means of communication, and plays a tremendous role in many aspects such as contacting both the enterprise, improving efficiency, reducing communication cost. IM system is being used in business communication with the characteristic of integrated, low-cost, convenience in the development process. From the current trend, Instant messaging is likely to be a platform for the integrated communication. The integrated communication will establish unified customer interface and the basic function platform in the future.This paper stems from the actual project named Integrated Communication System which developed by telecommunication enterprise in China. The system's aim is to meet the needs of business users with a full range of digital multimedia communication platform and service office assistant. System provides the audio / video communication, instant messaging communications and other basic function such as file transfer, so that enterprise can customize client in accordance with the norm and the need of their own business.From the perspective of software engineering, this paper analyzes the insufficiency of IM systems in enterprise application, confirm the function need according to the demand from enterprise and design an enterprise-class communication system which integrates P2P model and server transfer model. This paper mainly researched and designed the system client-side, described the function of each module and the design concept and the specific implement, including the realization of network communication, packing and unpacking for data package, instant messaging communication, file transfer function, audio and video based on DirectShow framework, and use the RTP protocol for audio and video process in accordance with the feedback by RTCP to guarantee communication quality.The Integrated Communication System Client which is implemented in this paper meets the present enterprise's application need, and already applied in telecommunication enterprise. Along with the research thorough, how to enhance integrated ability with enterprise OA system or other system will be the key question in the next stage.
