Reference to the analysis of the apparatus, physical principle and mathematical principle of industrial computed tomography(ICT), and based on theoretical analysis and practical experience, this paper analyzed the performance index of ICT's system, and how these performance indexes influence the quality of ICT images.Combined with the characteristic of reverse engineering products, the author discusses the general principle of scanning technics in reverse engineering applications. After the analytical study of the methods and influencing factor in the process of boundary extraction , the author also confirms that threshold quantity is an important index , which has an effect on the accuracy of boundary extraction during the reverse engineering , and brings up the method to evaluate threshold quantity in practice, that is correlation method .When we generalize the past expariments, we generally found that ,during the process of boundary extraction , the optimal value of threshold of entocoele and exocoele varies a lot, even for the same product .To ensure the accuracy of boundary extraction , the author proposes that we should do the boundary extraction of the entocoele and exocoele respectively during the reverse engineering applications.In the end , the author completes the entire procedure by using an effuser as an example , and gets an satisfying result.
