Ben-Haim from academy of engineering and technology locating in Israel together with Cordis Corporation developed a three dimensional electroanatomic mapping system in 1990s, then applied it in clinical in 1996. The system introduced artificial magnetic field matching with mapping and ablation catheters with magnetic positioning sensor to guide heart reconstruction, then conducted catheter ablation. It was one of the first clinical applications of three-dimensional mapping system, the appearance of which greatly simplifies the complexity of the mapping determination of arrhythmia. Moreover, It provides precision-guided ablation of arrhythmias and reduces the X-ray exposure in operation for doctors and patients. Therefore it expands new areas in the catheter ablation used for complex arrhythmia. The heart reconstruction of three-dimensional model has an important role in the system. Perfect model can provide precise surgical guidance. If a number of other functions are added after the reconstruction of a heart model, it will be more convenient for the doctors. The expected functions as follows: a perspective from any direction to get and analyze its anatomic structure, regions of interests such as left atrium and pulmonary vein and other organs to extraction and cutting the heart from any coordinate axis in order to observe the local details of the blood vessels around the heart. The functions above are all essential for the operation of the catheter. In addition, if the virtual endoscopic technology is introduced to this system, then shows the internal organs on a computer screen clearly, doctors will feel like being observation in the organs. It will greatly improve on the exact of nidus location for doctors. It can be resolved in the view of three-dimensional medical images visualization, three-dimensional medical images visualization concentrates on data modeling and visualization for medical image data. The modeling here refers to appropriate pre-treatment of three-dimensional medical image data, and establish the appropriate model to expression the structure. Finally build a model of the human body and then render it, display it on the screen. Our project is just based on three-dimensional visualization of medical images. Firstly, we take noise reduction treatment for the collection of two-dimensional CT data, then use Ray Casting Algorithm which is one of the classic Volume Rendering Algorithm to extract the heart and related organs. Another project we have done is the segmentation of heart image data from the original sequence of two-dimensional CT data, on the basis of which we provide a solution of virtual endoscopic cardiac function. One key technology we have solved is the use of distance transform method to search the central path planning. The other one is about Interactive navigation, We provide the concept of the virtual camera to simulate the behavior of the traditional virtual endoscope, two ways of navigation : manual interactive navigation and automatic navigation to roam observation after the reconstruction of the organ. We developed a simple system to demonstrate them at the end. The last part of the project is developed for the reason of currently e-report problems, which is a set of reports based on the Word of office solutions.
