More and More powerful computing Grid application that require tremendous resources are constructed as the Grid researches and Grid infrastructure greatly advance. Many applications are more and more complicated which are constrained by temporal and resource relationship. All kinds of resources in Grid, such as software, hardware and others, are expressed as Grid Service. It is impossible for a single Grid Service to complete a computing task. Therefore, through workflow technology, many single Grid Services can be orchestrated to compose a stronger Grid Service. These complicate Grid task often be relevant to invoking Grid service parallel, circle and other condition branches. But there are many disadvantages of the manual mode which are intolerable, such as inefficient, difficult to control. Grid workflow can automate grid applications with great efficiency, and it conveniently implement the reuse and sharing of Grid applications. In order to define a Grid workflow task, scientists need to write a workflow script which should conform the grammar of workflow description language. However, as the workflow descript language is usually very complicate, it is difficult for scientists to directly edit workflow script. Thus, how to implement a visual workflow designer is a hot topic in Grid workflow.Our team developed a visual workflow designer named WfVD which abstract BPEL elements to graphical representation before, scientists could use it compose workflow conveniently. However, this manner to describe the workflow is complicate when the task is complex. Base on CGSP and existing visual workflow designer WfVD, we have designed and implement a graphical workflow designer which could drag and drop grid service to compose a workflow. It could get available grid service on CGSP, and then scientists could drag and drop these grid services on canvas to compose workflow. The designer will convert the graphical workflow about grid service to standard workflow script and automatically generated associated description files for deployment on CGSP. The designer shield the grid workflow technology and the complexity of BPEL elements, it improves the efficiency of scientists.
