OCA(On-Chip-Antenna)technology are getting more and more attention for its with the fast development of RFID for its small size and facility convenience.Basing on RFID technology, this thesis makes research on how the OCA will be influenced by the structure of the substrate where IC sits in.The purpose of the thesis include the realization of the miniaturization of the tag antenna, the impedance matching between the tag antenna and the chip, the analysis of the structure's influence on the OCA's impedance performance. The thesis also proposes the simulation results of the changes of the OCA's impedance when the structure of the substrate varies. With reference to dozens of relative articles, this thesis compares technologies used for tag antenna miniaturization and chooses one OCA form for the 2.45GHz frequency RFID band, simulates the OCA 's performance with its parameters varying, like the changes of the real part and imaginary part of antenna's impedance when helix's arm width or distance between the arms varies. The thesis then discusses the impedance matching between the IC and the OCA and realizes the conjugated impedance matching with a gradual-changing cylinder method Finally the thesis analyzes and simulates the influences that substrate structure bring to the OCA.,focusing on how Si layer,GaAs layer and shielding layer(A1) will influence the antenna and compares the simulated results of the antenna's impdeance when the chip substrate material is Si and GaAs.
