Image-Guiding for guided munitions needs to accurately match target image and involves a large number of simple and duplicate numerical calculation. For the special requirements of weapons systems as a result of real-time aspects, a device which can complete the calculation in a given time is necessary. In view of today's electronic design and manufacturing technology, multi-machine power system which is composed of high-end multi-chip DSP has been used to complete a similar task most of the time. But there are also some difficulties, like hard to achieve, difficult to content electromagnetic compatibility in high-speed, higher costs and so on. As the limited of the design principles, specifically on the face of large computation, this method is difficult to solve the problem of the time-restriction, so some applications are hard to content. So it is very necessary to find a way to achieve the specific high-speed computing which is using the large-scale integrated circuits. This study is based on the above background, using exploration, design and simulation. It is exploring a design method to resolve high-speed image matching on the shells containing. The paper has made a discussion on several templates matching arithmetic and using time complexity which is the concept of algorithm optimization to analysis the time complexity of each matching firstly. Then based on the in-depth study of the development of FGPA, the basic principles and structure, characteristics and so on, the paper has achieve several image matching algorithm. And the paper further studied the real-time target-image matching system which is based on FPGA. On the ground of analysis the task flow and data flow model of the target-image matching system, it gives the best system design. Finally, the paper result the actual experimental results. The experimental results show that the system has smaller cubage, lower power-using, faster and better real-time tracking.
