The PDF (Portable data File) 417 2D(two-dimensional) BarCode is widely used. The digital watermarking is an arisen technology in recent years in security field, and is the hot topic of current research. The technology combined the 2D BarCode with watermark is a new anti-counterfeiting technology which has gotten the attention of domestic and oversea scholars. In this paper, Aiming on the existence questions about the watermark information embedded in 2D BarCode,such as the amount of watermark information not enough, a new way of optimized 2D BarCode digital watermark embedding algorithm is proposed in this article, by this way, the true sense of the Documents Security was achieved and the 2D BarCode's application width and depth were greatly improved in the field of security. The main studies and new contributions are described as follows:1. The digital watermarking system frame work based 2D BarCode are designed. The research background of embedding digital watermarking in 2D BarCode and key algorithms are discussed.2. According to the main features of PDF417 BarCode and the human eye's visual characteristics,a new method of embedding blind watermark information in the appropriate edge is proposed. The combination of 2D BarCode and digital watermark technology improves the security and confidentiality of PDF417 BarCode.3. In order to make sure the 2D BarCode and digital watermark's double security, the digital watermarking in this paper is encoded after Image Scrambling . Not only the digital watermark's anti-offensive is increased, but also the watermark image's information was kept secret. It is a new anti-counterfeiting technology breakthrough in 2D BarCode security.4. To enhance the confidentiality of digital watermarking, the watermark embedding location was controlled through the threshold . The watermark detection of this algorithm's is kind of blind detection. Only If one knows the key1 (threshold T) and key 2 (watermark image scrambling frequency), can be obtains original watermark.Improved algorithm increases the amount of embedding watermark information in 2D BarCode and enhances confidentiality. Finally, the computer simulation experiment proved the effectiveness of this new algorithm.
