SCTP Management System Research And Implementation Based On 3G Transmission Network

The characteristic of mobile communication transmission network is that it develops towards IP gradually. At present, the third-generation mobile communication leads IP transmission in its core network and access network one after another, so it is necessary to strengthen the operation, maintenance and management function in the construction of 3G network. This thesis is based on the project of widely used stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) management system in IP communication network.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the architecture of SIGTRAN protocol stack, studies several kinds of common adaptation layer protocol of application model and their functions, then focuses on the features of SCTP protocol and implementation principle of its main function. Secondly, it brings forward the design goal of SIGTRAN SCTP management system (SSM) and puts the SSM in SIGTRAN as an independent level, so that it is convenient to the management of SCTP upper users and their data transmission. Next, it discusses the module composition of SSM, introduces the function of each module in detail and explains the overall software architecture, key data area and primitive of SSM. Finally, it analyzes the implementation principle of each module of SSM: SSM layer redesigns the association state machine to simplify association state description of SCTP, introduces flow control mechanism of data transmission in order to reduce the loss of user data, does the classification statistics on SCTP data transmission and running status and realizes the dynamic operation of association to improve the OAM function of SCTP, and provides a perfect configuration management function to obtain configuration, deletion and modification operation of association.This design can monitor the running situation of SCTP association, operate it and inquire its related information by OMC conveniently. Through the module verification and data transmission stress test, the functionality and performance of SSM reach the requirements. And it has been used in ZTE's 3G network equipment.
