Research And Implementation Of Network Examination System Based On QTI

With the rapid development of network technologies as well as the increasing public educational needs,e-learning has gradually become an important approach of education. One of the most important points of e-learning is testing and examination management system.Online examinations can not only save material resources and manpower,but also improve the efficiency and quality of the examination system.QTI-based online examination system integrates the advantages of current examination system,at the same time,it achieves resource interoperability,making the sharing of test resource more convenient and the evaluation of the results more accurate and objective.The first part of the paper describes the sources of research,background,and discusses the research significance and application prospects.The second part analyses the QTI standard and designs the item XML binding based on the stardard.In the third part,the paper determines the system requirements,functional design,the overall structure and the detailed design of the module.In the forth part,the paper detailedly described the system implementation.The main technologies,such as JSP,XML and MySQL,are used in realizing the system.Compared with the characteristic of present network,this system applies the B/S system structure,and it's main innovation is using MySQL database to store the item data and XML to record the assessment information which all meet QTI standard.And the other innovation is realizing the seamless integration of the examination system and the other systems of Java courses.The whole platform is not an examination system.The core functions are communication and courseware exhibition.The examination system is just an auxiliary function which has practical value than the other single examination system.
