Great changes have taken in Modern Distance Education with development about the theory of lifelong learning and the implementation about the strategy of vocational education.As we know,learner needs in learning content can be freedomly met at anywhere and anytime by e-learning,so in particular e-learning in the modern distance education is warmly welcomed.The study of network education is gradually being transferred from the development of curriculum to learners on the characteristics of learners' e-learning behavior;at the same time learning styles and preferences of e-learners are also analysized,which causes further study in monitoring and evaluation of network learners so as to better learning support services can be provided to them.At present,the analysis and research in e-learning behavior is little,especially,how to determine the learner's learning style and learning preferences based on the analysis of e-learning behavior is less.Nowadays,it may become true of determining the learning style and preferences according to the mining and analysis of e-learning behavior,as the mature of data mining and the collection of e-learning behavior. The paper focuses on the content in e-learning style and preferences mining model based on the analysis of e-learning behavior.The full paper can be divided into six chapters,each chapter is described as follows:In ChapterⅠ,the background of the paper,studies at home and abroad,the need and feasibility as well as the adoption of methods and techniques of research is demonstrated.In ChapterⅡ,the basis theories of learning styles and preferences mining model based on the analysis of e-learning behavior are described.So,the theories of behavioral science and behaviorism,learning style and preferences,e-learning behavior,as well as the data mining are analisized.ChapterⅢis the relationship between e-learning behavior and learning style and preference.In the part e-learning behavior is divided into five dimensions according to the factors of learning style and preferences in society,psychology,physics,emotion, environment based on the analysis of them.Then learning style of each dimension is determined and the learning preferences integrated model of network learners is constructed.ChapterⅣis the study in principles,significance,functional structure and model construction of e-learning style and preferences mining model. In ChapterⅤis the study of realization on e-learning styles and preferences mining model.The composition modules of mining model as well as the structure,function and related technologies of each module are demonstrated.ChapterⅥis a summary of the paper.The weaknesses on mining model of e-learning style and preferences in the theory and the realization of specific technology in the section are described.At last,what we will do in future is also listed.
