With the rapid development of the chemical industry, the personal and production safety in the chemical enterprises is attracting more and more attention from people. The radio frequency identification of micro power consumption, fast recognition and antipollution characteristics is now more and more widely used in the chemical enterprises.The design bases on the background of a personnel positioning subsystem in the Intelligent safe-guard system in a chemical enterprise, combines the actual situation of the enterprises, breaks the limitation of the security and defense system in traditional chemical enterprises, it uses the radio frequency identification to design a integrated personnel positioning system. The system can provide the function of attendance management in daily production, it can also offer the information of the number and position of people in the accident scene,which could provide much help in dealing with the accidents.First of all, this paper introduces radio frequency identification technology, confirms the position parameters and the main technical specifications of the system by combining with the field situation. Secondly, the paper gives out the general structure, working principle and main function of the system, programs the system's network structure, designs the data acquisition and processing process, and it uses the three-layer structure to project the whole structure and function of the system. Thirdly, combines the advantages of the zone position arithmetic and the position arithmetic based on signal strength, this paper raises a new position arithmetic which introduces reference tag assistant position. It introduced the foundation of arithmetic model and implementation procedure. Then it selects a system layout scheme which satisfying the request through simulation analysis. At last, this paper introduces the realization process of the positioning software of the system through client terminal monitoring software, server side database and interlayer component. Then it tests the position system software on the hardware platform, which implements the function of rough positioning. It tests the precisely positioning part function of the software by simulating a group of data.The position arithmetic of this paper is improved at the position precision and applicability, which can help to reduce the difficulty of system layout and the cost. The position system is designed reasonably, and it is proved that the software could satisfy the demand. These establish foundation for the future research and application of the indoor personnel position system.
