Base on the independent designing and production,and plan to discuss the humanistic ideal, the author tired to sum up the experience of uncommercial personal-make RPG produce and enrich the theory of video game manufacture with the summary experience to express her own opinion on the develpment trend of Wuxia video game.According to the most common forms of RPG,the author chose Wuxia as the topic of this paper.She tried to write a RPG with noncommercial purposes but win by story,providing analysis report on both the process detail and testers feedback.Below is the major study method.Part One:After went through the history of video game,especially the RPG's history,the author tried to find out the psychological factors of the Wuxia RPG player by analysis the Chinese Wuxia spirit and literary.The she tried to explore the designing trend of Wuxia game and research the feature of Wuxia video game.In this paper,the anther pointed out the important position of Wuxia culture in the Chinese Classical culture and analysis the influence of heroic characteristic to the social opinion.At the mean time,from the development of Wuxia literature in the different period,the author tried to find out the relationship between social change and evolvement of thinking modes,and study Wuxia inspirit as a independent philosophy.At last the author tried to bring foward the principle of design Wuxia game base on the feature of internet culture and needs of this kind of players,to laid the foundation of next part of paper.Part Two:The paper used a Non-commercial RPG,"Snowy Town",as object to elaborate the whole process of making a RPG,which included inspiration,planning,progress design,software debugging,material production and introduction,testing,mending.By analysis of the material and plot,the characters were designed at the basis of diversified and multi-reference idea in favor of Chinese traditional heroes culture.We used a lot of fixed volunteers as testing object to play the game,and the feedbacks were analyzed,especially the character and scene design,for further mending.The game was made at RPG Maker set level.After the analysis of the material and plot, the step design of the game was finished.Then the game draft was drawn under the consideration of the wishes of the players.The whole game process and soft ware of the game was made then. It's need mentioned that the soft ware of the game,the design of the map in the game,the plot design,the database variable debugging,and the preliminary testing were all made independently. The producing process of the sub-systems including walking,talking,searching,and fighting were elaborated according to the modules of the game.The idea of traditional hero culture which was discussed in the first part was implemented in the constructing the world and details of the game.Part Three:At the begining of this part,the auther analysed,summarized and prospected the theory of design Wuxia RPG.After refered to the RPGs in the market,the author summarized the origin, cult feature,technology,testing,advertise of these games and show how the psychological characteristic of player impacting the design of story.Then the author tried to analysis the advantages and disadvantages of the completed game,and summarized the process of RPG design and produce.At the mean time,the auther also point out the force of Wuxia culture and tired to summarize the key points in designing RPGs.In making this game,the real time testing was carried out step by step,and the wishes of the players were fully considered.The feedback including character design,plot constructing,and detail set were analysed to conclude the modules necessary for future development of the RPG.The humanities trend and design principle of this type of RPG in modern society were also concluded.Base on the result of analysis,the author sum up the most important parts of RPG design and expectated the develop trend of Wuxia video game in the future.And the conclusion made on video game design and technology promoting will be good help in joining the video game development team in the future.
