Research And Realization Of Right Object Distribution System For Mobile DRM

It makes mobile TV possible and also brings a great chance for its development that the evolution of wireless telecommunication combined with the progress of audio and video coding and compression technology. The security of the contents'right guarantees the development of this industry, for the high cost of making the high tech content. Open Mobile Alliance developed OMA DRM specification, which is an open standard. It has been widely developed. OMA DRM V2.0 is more popular. Because it applies Public Key Infrastructure, develops a new protocol--Rights Object Aequisition Protocol, and support more business model. However, it's difficult to apply in a real business scenario with massive users, because of its lack of consideration for the performance.This paper describes the design and realization of RO Distribution System. This system is designed with full consideration of the need in a real application, and performs well when having to deal with massive requests in peak hours. The design is according to the OMA DRM V2.0 and makes several improvements as following:1. Specifing RO type: separating permission information from key information to reduce the work the system has to deal with.2. Pre-time RO distribution model has been developed and it brings efficiency of the system by the combination with Real-time RO distribution model. It releases the pressure of distribution sever in peak hours. 3. Developing the CEK switch window. This makes users have no sense of the process of the CEK switch.4. The realization of OMA DRM ROAP has been modification to fit the needs.5. This system applied multi-tier distribution. This reduces the pressure of the distribution edge.6. The system is break down to several modules for realization. The reuse of distribution model makes the design easier. The realization of the pre-time distribution model depends on the RO request message making by sever.
