With the development of multimedia communication,H.264/AVC becomes a new multimedia video encoding standard.It enhances the error recovery and network self-adaptation ability while improving the encoding efficiency and performance,which is widely used in many areas, such as radio and television,video storage and playback,video conferencing.However,the improvement of encoding performance is at the cost of computational complexity.A high-performance VLIW structure of TMS320DM642,the second generation fixed-point DSP of high-performance VLIW structure developed by Texas instruments,Peak processing speed reaches 4800 MIPS(millions of instructions per second) at 600 MHz clock frequency.It is valuable to develop compatible video code system based on the combination of powerful data processing capability and advanced image compressing technology.X264 encoder,which adopts one of the three major open-source codes,abandons some new features with little contribution to performance at the expense of computational complexity.Therefore,it is easy to be transplanted and optimized.The theory of digital video processing and H.264 video compression protocol are studied in this paper.The working principle,the programming structure,software framework and development method of H.264 code algorithm in PC and DSP is introduced.First,the H.264 profile and code principle are briefly introduced.Second,the realization of open-source algorithm T264 in PC and DSP is deeply studied.Finally, an example of UDP protocol network camera based on T264 is given.H.264 encoder can complete 28-38 QCIF video encoding per second. Video images have a high subjective quality and objective quality after decoding. |
