"Information silos" led to Enterprise Application Integration technology(EAI),but in the face of the distributed network topology,cross-platform application interaction and non-standard protocols,EAI can't meet the integeration demand such as flexibility, adaptability, reusability and expansibility etc.Hence SOA emerged as a good method to make up distributed system which designs the business application as service and constructed flexible service-oriented architecture so as to minimize the coupling between systems, improve reusability and easily share data. For effectively managing and reusing service,Enterprise Service Bus(ESB) begins to be used in SOA implementation.ESB serves as an intelligent integeration and management agency between services, making SOA practice a step forward. This paper first introduces SOA related knowledge, mainly summarizing and expatiating ESB related theories. Then it discusses the relationship between ESB and SOA,verify the role of ESB and its started timing. After that, with the popular ESB products as breakthrough, the paper deeply analyzes how to choose appropriate ESB products for SOA deployment.Taking the distributed, multiple and cross-language application scenarios for example, this paper practises how to deploy and manage service in SOA implementation with the help of ESB.In the meanwhile, the paper practises the interoperability of heterogeneous platforms and gets the expected results. In conclusion, the paper looks forward to the development of SOA and ESB.At last, the paper points out the insufficiencies of the researching and puts forward the key points of further study. The research on application of ESB in SOA can play a role of enlightenment in SOA implementation.
