With the deployment of Softswith in business environment,It's time to bring in some new services for the network..Voice,Video and other multimedia service have a high demand for Quality of Service(QoS) of the network.One way to resolve the problem is to increasing the bandwidth,another is to improve the QoS with some techniques.To improve QoS of Campus network,this article will give our solution in two aspects:Softswitch system architecture and the network it's running on.Based on the architecture of Softswitch and the character of voice and video,we point out that loss,delay,jitter and admission control decides QoS of the network.So we make a short discussion about the mechanism of different solutions and also analyze the function of COPS.Then we give a short introduction about model of network flow,and show the basic steps for analyzing the flow of network.We analyze the flow of campus network with Self-similar model and find it has character of self-similar and the value of H is 0.9395.At last,we give a solution witch bring in Call Admission Control Server(CACS) to Softswitch.The solution is simple and easy to configure Service Level Agreement(SLA) of QoS.We test the solution with laboratory environment and get a good result.So we provide a plan for deploying it with campus network.
