On The News Release Of Disaster By The Modern Government Of China

Advances in the rapid development in information technology and news media today,disaster information takes an important part of proper treatment for disaster.The disasters greatly challenge the public administration ability of the government,especially when China is in the critical times in which both of the economy and society are transforming. Thus the media of the whole world keep an eye on the disasters in China such as natural calamities,incidents,public health emergencies,etc. Therefore,the news released by the government draw the attention of the whole society.Since in China the regulations and rules on news release have been set up just in recent times,the relevant measures and methods are still immature.It is of great significance to study the news release of disaster by modern government of China,which promotes the development of journalism and helps to cope with the disasters in a better way.The present thesis aims to find a way for the government of China to release the disasters more scientificaily and effectively,to make the most of the respective advantages of the government and the media when coping with the disasters,and to ensure the relief work is carried out in better opinion atmosphere.This thesis makes review on the development of the governmental news release of disaster,and makes analysis on the cases of news release at different times.Based on the importance of governmental news release, the thesis also analyzes its defects and illustrates the necessity to ensure the news release during the times of disaster.Meanwhile,it proposes some suggestions on improving news release,and explores the way to optimize resources and to enhance the government' s capability to release news of disaster.
