As the timing precision is not high and it is difficult to adjust, the traditional bottle forming mechanical increasingly exposed its deficiencies.With the computer-controlled technology development, servo drive technology, as well as motor synchronization control technology has been successfully introduced into the I.S machines. Therefore the I.S machine with electronic timing and synchronization control technologies have become the trend of glass industry's development.In this paper, an electronic timing system, and electronic distribution system have beendesigned based on fieldbus technology.The electronic timing system designed is mainly composed of PC, section control board and main control board. The control boards of the electronic timing system and synchronization control system are connected through CAN bus. The host computer as an ordinary PC, transfers data and commands to section control board, main control board, and real-time monitors and administers the site running. The section control boards detect switch signals from the scene and drive electromagnetic valves to work according to the set starting or stopping time, to make the forming machine operate in a specific sequence.Main control board receives synchronous signals from the feeder machine and distributes synchronous signals to section control boards, when delayed a certain time, the synchronous signals is transferred through the CAN bus to the electronic distribution system, in order to achieve synchronization among each electrical sub-system of bottle forming machine.A high performance driver and control system of stepping motor and electronic distribution system has been developed.The system adopts the PC as master computer and the single-chip as slave computer.Control commands and parameters have been delivered from the master computer to slave computer dependently in order to guarantee the work that can be accurately and promptly done.Besides,the host computer collects various kinds of state signal that the slave computer feedbacks to diagnose and manipulate.Firstly, the thesis discusses the general design plan of control system for I.S. forming machine on the basis of analyzing requirement and process of I.S. forming machine. Secondly, the design of hardware circuit, which is around the PIC microcontroller, is discussed. Finally, the software of electronic timing system is designed according to the thought of foreground/background system. The main thought and block diagram of the program are provided.Based on the study and summarize the subdivided control technologys of stepper motor, applying a combination control strategies of Constant current chopper technique and subdivided control technique. The stepper motor drive controller is composed of two parts, the subdivision part is realized by hardware, and another part is control idea which is realized by MCU and software. The electronic timing system and the synchronization control system we designed have been put into practice in several companies and operate steadily.
