The popularization national power have been brought advantage to people's lives. In view of the status that field agricultural transformers are frequently stolen, which has seriously influenced people's daily life and agricultural productions Transformer monitoring anti-theft technology has been increasing attention.various of methods have been used in and abroad.they all played varying degrees effect.Image monitoring technology which is a more advanced means of them.Image processing and remote monitoring technology transfer is the key issues of the Image moniroring technology. This article takes GPRS network technology to monitor system in order to solve the problem that monitoring data is not conducive to transmission because of the characteristic that field agricultural transformers are Widely distributed.Using GPRS to connect to the Internet to monitor all of the agricultural transformer.Small amount data of image is avail to transmitted and also reduce the system energy,so Image compression is need.chip FPGA what is used in the system reduces periphery chips and system cost.Using the method of checking table to replace traditional multiplication reduces the resource of FPGA.The control order of each module stored the ROM in the internal FPGA.A State machine is designed to design a system configuration to meet all orders in order to complete the system.Using FPGA to compress the picture that Compression speed is fast and have a good effect. The result shows that the picture of the way of monitoring the effective monitoring of the transformer.Acquisition of image data captured for the future to provide evidence favorable. This system can not only be used to guard theft in the field of agricultural transformer, but can also be used in the on-site monitoring of other electrical equipment.
