The Technology Research Of Finger Vein Recognition

Along with the arriving times of information, people pay high attention to information security and secrecy. Finger vein recognition is a new non-contact biometric identification technology and has many outstanding advantages so as to make the identity authentication easier and faster.A new biometric identification technique based on human finger vein patterns was studied. In the image processing part, the finger vein images were obtained optically with the image acquisition device then normalized and enhanced. After segmentation with the improved NiBlack method and removing noise and interruption, ultimately vein skeletons with little distortion are obtained with the improved conditional thinning algorithm. In the feature extraction and feature matching part, geometric features, similarity and moment invariants were studied for image matching, and a new feature extraction and matching method based on normalized moment of inertia was proposed. Through the experiment in the case of some samples in lab, good results were obtained.
