The Research On Parameter Detection Of Conical Thread Based On Digital Image Processing

With the development of Digital Image Processing, the non-contact measuring is applied to measure the dimensions of object far and wide.At the present time, the thread measuring method is still staying in manual method, which has high error possibility and low precision. Now we need to study a more effective thread measuring method suitable for stable production.In this paper, we research the non-contact measuring technology of outer-thread which base on Digital Image Processing. we adopt the optical method, get the digital image of thread outer contour outline by CCD vidicon, and process the image data, in this process mostly contain pretreatment of image, edge detection, sub-pixel orientation, detection system demarcation, calculate the interrelated parameter of thread in the end. This paper proves the feasibility and correctness of this method in theory and practice.
